FAQs
Our aim is to make your counselling sessions as comfortable as possible. We can offer on-line sessions, face to face sessions and we can arrange home visits for a small cost to cover travel costs . Please read the following details and if you have a question that's not answered here please don't hesitate to get in touch.
How Much does therapy cost?
£55.00 per one hour session.
£85.00 per one hour couples session.
£90.00 per one hour family therapy.
£75.00 per one hour clinical supervision for Mental Health Professionals and Trainees.
Where are you based?
In the small village of Eakring, near Newark in Nottinghamshire. You can view a map here... There is free parking on-site.
What areas do you cover?
Generally speaking we offer a service wherever you live, especially now there is a wide take up of on line services, which has been especially so during the Covid-19 Pandemic. In terms of home visits, we would provide this within a 20 mile radius with a negotiated fee for travel.
How often should the therapy sessions take place?
Weekly or fortnightly sessions are recommended but we can talk about this after our consultation session.
How Many sessions will I need?
There is no set number of sessions as every person is different. We can review at session three and plan more in if required. We tend to find an average is 6-8 sessions. Longer term therapy is available if we decide together that this is needed.
Will therapy work for me?
It is widely acknowledged that counselling takes good care of our mental health and emotional well being. In our experience there is everything to be gained from entering into dialogue with a trained therapist. Often emotions can feel worse before they start to feel better and it is good to identify with us your support system when starting with therapy.
Do you work with all age groups?
Tracey - yes, usually from the age of 7yrs upwards.
Richard - no, age 18yrs plus.
How will information about me be kept confidential?
Abiding by professionals standards and registration requirements, we are required to take our work to Supervision, which is subject to the same confidentiality agreement. If there appears to be a risk of significant/serious harm to yourself or others, we have a duty to pass on concerns on a strict need to know basis. This may be your GP or the Local Safeguarding Team. Usually this would happen after speaking with you about this first. Otherwise, what is said in the session is strictly confidential.
IOC and GDPR require a Privacy Notice which is available in full at your request and is available to view below. We will also provide you with a copy prior to agreeing any therapeutic contract. Please do not hesitate to request this at the point of contact or if there are any further questions on this.
