A Space For Me - Therapeutic services in North Nottinghamshire

"I have my family and friends, who I am really close to, but I just can’t tell them what is bothering me"

This is a phrase we hear repeated often. It could be that your loved ones have their own concerns and struggle to cope with hearing about the difficulties you are experiencing? Maybe they just don’t understand what is happening to you and feel they can’t help you?

People come to A Space for Me and tell us about a dilemma in their lives, often because they feel they can't approach family or friends. This may be for all sorts of reasons like not wanting to burden them or just feeling they may be misunderstood. It can be hard to talk to people about your loss, fears or anxieties. The everyday challenges life presents can leave us feeling bewildered, depressed, stressed, anxious, guilty, ashamed and a myriad of other emotions.

This is where counselling and psychotherapy may help. It is a space for you to talk and try and to create more understanding of what might be unsettling you. The thought of telling it all to a therapist may seem a little unnerving. Just remember though that the therapist is trained to listen and help you work with you and through the things that are troubling you. The therapist will listen without judging you, that means you don’t have to be concerned about upsetting relationships or friendships by what you think and say. It is your space to focus on you, 'A Space for Me'.

We offer the time to talk and a place to think. It's easy to put off talking or hope that by waiting, a situation, feeling or fear will subside. Taking positive action is the first step towards a more peaceful outlook. Our aim is to provide you with the strategies or tools you need to firstly, understand and then deal with, the anxieties or difficulties that life presents to all of us at one time or another. By calling us on 07852 331 595 or using our contact form, you are beginning a journey that can make a real difference both to your life and the lives of people around you.
